The San Carlos City Council has approved a new 30,000 square foot two-story multi-tenant, mixed-use building at the corner of Brittan Avenue and Industrial Road, which is visible from Highway 101.
According to Steve Mitchell, Chief Operations Officer, “As a gateway to the City, this building will be a showcase for the community and provide excellent Bayshore Freeway exposure.”
The undeveloped land is owned by the City of San Carlos and leased by Black Mountain Properties on a long term land lease. The first floor of the building will accommodate office and industrial businesses. Companies will have the option of either glass panel roll-up doors or storefront windows. The second floor is designed exclusively for office use.
Black Mountain Properties, LLC owns and manages the six buildings in the San Carlos Business Park immediately adjacent to the new building. Most of the tenants in the Business Park are small business owners providing services to local businesses and residents. “The goal of Black Mountain Properties is to attract small business owners and as they grow, accommodate their real estate needs,” said Mitchell.
The award-winning design and construction firms of Vitae Architects and W.L. Butler, General Contractor have teamed up for this project, which is anticipated to be ready for occupancy in 2006.
The nationwide firm of CBRE (CBRichard Ellis), represented by Robert McSweeney is now marketing the building as divisible to suit the needs of a firm that seeks a prime location, freeway access and name identity, with space tailored to their business. |
